Stephen Garlands “The Post-Disposed

part of Cruthu Arts Festival

It has been a long trip from North East Brazil, via Rio, Madrid, Barcelona, Edinburgh, Longford to finally reach Moscow and get the
non FDA approved treatment that offered the only hope for a ‘No Treatment No Cure’ diagnosis.

It took some time to get to this diagnosis of Primary Progressive MS and it was evidently taking hold as Garland moved through the
typical stages of increasing disability with first a walking stick, then to mobility scooter, with a wheelchair and cognitive collapse the
next stop unless a Russian Dr F and his HSCT Stem Cell therapy could stop the ‘progress’.

8 months since transplant, Granard native and International Arts promoter Stephen Garland, is heading back to Edinburgh Fringe
with the sequel to his 2017 Fringe Comic Storytelling Show ‘The Pre-Disposed’ a show that involved Fringe comedy legends from
Simon Munnery to  Eddie Izzard to draw something of a conclusion to a most epic tale that where laughing in the face of adversity
was always key to the success.

This is the official Edinburgh Fringe 2018 preview of ‘The Post-Disposed’ an audiovisual comic retelling of a story framing the
positive attitude that made light of a difficult procedure, driven by the collective support of a wider community campaign that created everything from cake sales to virtual pint sales. The Post-Disposed promises to enlighten and inspire as much as it will entertain.

Garland uses his 20 year experience working with the best in the comedy industry to pepper the story with the funny that always tends
to appear in moments of adversity.

20% of the proceeds of the show will go to Longford MS the rest will help make the return to perform at the Edinburgh Arts Festival.
